Thanks for pointing that out as TKD kicks coupled with punches to the head would be awesome! I have never trained with TKD so I did not really know if the Olympic offering was all there was.</description>

		<description>i agree with what you say about olympic taekwondo. but there are actually to different federations of TKD both with different rule sets. the olympic ( world taekwondo federation) and traditional ( International taekwondo federation) the traditional type of TKD is very similar to shotokan karate and punches to the head are allowed. i belive that the traditional style should be in the olympics as it is the original version of TKD. the WTF version took away the punching to the head rule to put emphasis on kicking techniques and make it more unique and due to korean pride erase the similarities between TKD and shotokan. ( the founder of TKD was a 2nd dan shotokan practitioner, this influence in Traditional TKD is very evident)</description>
